GOD THE AUTHOR OF OUR JOURNEY

Shalom to all of you,

Thank God that I have this opportunity to join this year's NextGen. Since this year's NextGen was totally different from the year before, I had to go through quite a learning curve. Throughout the week of serving at SMK A, I learned to collaborate with many people with different personalities, and to seek for help instead of doing everything alone. Even though our team has some imperfections, we had that fire to serve in our hearts, and God gave us the ability to confidently share the Word of God in front of the students. At the first ISCF, although there were fewer students than we expected, we realized this is a good thing since we can focus more on them as individuals and everyone has a chance to share in their group. We shared the 4 spiritual laws, despite the students being reluctant at first, in just a few hours of meeting us, they were willing to share their struggles to us in the heart-to-heart session. We prayed for them, and the Holy Spirit touched their hearts. The power of the Scriptures and prayer is shown to all of us, and that's when we know our purpose in that school. As the students started to flood in during the next few days, our team tried our best to make interesting activities for them and provide a safe space for the students to share the challenges that they are facing. Even though our time there was short, we already planted the seed in them, guided them to a spiritual breakthrough, and I hope that they will continue to grow in Christ, and bring about positive influence to others around them in the future. I'll conclude this with Psalms 148:13 "Let them Praise the name of the Lord, for His name alone is exalted, his splendor is above the earth and the heavens."
